The all turf fields are clean, the bathroom facilities were kept clean, as well. There wasn't coffee first thing in the morning, so come prepared. The the chicken fingers and fries were good. Parking is for a $15 fee per day. Download parkmobile app ahead of time
Parking lot is expensive.. $15 dollars per day - they hold "we will tow you" over your head if you don't pay - some do and some don't- concessions are SLOW - its in a way out of the way area. Fields are nice rubber turf - limited tent set up areas - bring a chair -
Fields are field turf, well spaced out, good fencing, food is good.
Need more female bathrooms.
They nickel and dime you with parking: $15 a day.
Also they refuse to open one of the exits so exiting takes 10-15 minutes.
It's bang in the middle of nowhere. The nearest gas station is about 2 mi away. There's a fresh fish market on the other side of the exit which also has a restaurant. I think they have about 12 turf fields. Lots and lots of parking. A reasonably priced concession stand offering burgers, fries, soft drinks, Gatorade, coffee etc. There is also a "beer garden" which I did not visit.
"So why only three stars?" you ask?
Well here's why:
1) there is zero shelter from the elements. These playing surfaces were probably built on a farm, But everything was leveled. And so there's not a tree in sight that offers any kind of shade. We have been here in winter and in early summer and suffered both times. In winter the wind will chill you to your bone. In summer you just sit and bake in the sun. Some people have gotten smart and bring canopies. But if you don't have a canopy you better have brought your umbrella.
2) it's $10 a day for parking. We were given friendly reminders almost on the hour throughout the day that parking was $10 and if you didn't pay, your car could be towed away. The announcer even says very clearly that it's a friendly reminder. But you better take that reminder seriously because this is the last place in the world that you want to be without transportation. Like I said it's in the middle of nowhere. So you really don't have a choice. You can't walk here for sure. There's no public transportation that's going to bring you here. So yeah you have to drive your car and then you have to pay them $10 a day for parking your car there. In the big picture $10 isn't a big deal but when you feel that they're basically holding you at ransom then I don't like that feeling. But I paid the $20 for the two days that I parked my car there in the hot sweltering sun. The only other facility that I have gone to where they have charged for parking is spooky nook in Philadelphia and they charge $5 a day. And theirs is a fully indoors air conditioned facility.
3) tiny restroom. One regular stall and a handicap stall in the men's section. In my humble opinion that's totally inadequate for a facility as large as this.
4) a Spring Hill Suits is coming up close by. Besides that there are very few places to stay near by. As inconvenient as it gets.
Pictures to show the vast emptiness.
Nice fields, plenty of parking, good traffic flow leaving after last game, easy access to rt 1, good concession facilities. Need a few more workers at concession booths to keep lines down.
Parking is a disaster. Not even close to enough handicap spots. Paying that much for parking is laughable. Entrances and exits are blocked off when they could be open. This only exacerbates getting in and out of the facility.
Fields and facilities are nice though.
Clean, well run facility. Excellent access and amenities. Great place for a LAX tournament. Not crazy about $15 a day to park. I'm sure every parent spent a lot of $ to have their kid be a part of a team, never mind the hotel, gas, and Food for the weekend. I'm sure there is a Team entry fee as well. ... so
. There's that...
Needs some better concession options. Parking cost is a little steep at $15 a car. Fields are amazing.
